WHAT TO BRING TO SALEM

  • Heavy coat or jacket, gloves and boots (during cold months, October - March).

  • Lightweight jacket and sweater or sweatshirt (March - September).

  • School clothing--casual and neat, such as jeans, tee's, etc.

  • Dressy clothes (skirts and dresses for girls, slacks and buttondown shirts for guys) if you have them.

  • CD / DVD player, CD's, DVD's (check out "What to Leave at Home", next).

 

WHAT TO LEAVE AT HOME

  • Weapons of all kinds, including toy weapons.  

  • Drugs of all kinds, including alcohol and tobacco.

  • Obscene, violent, racist or otherwise disrespectful clothing, music, posters, pictures, books or comics, and any of these that glorify violence, alcohol, drugs or gangs.

  • MP3 player.


HOW TO GET TO SALEM

  • Take I-70 West to I-68 West to Exit 24.

  • Turn left off the exit ramp onto Lower New Germany Road and take the first right (still on Lower New Germany Road). 

  • Travel about a mile to the Salem sign, on the right.  The main office building--a brick bungalow--is on the left.

  • Please sign in at the office and someone will direct you from there.
